The future is apparently now, because Barbra Streisand has successfully cloned her dog. And not just once. Nope. She’s managed to do it twice.

Before her beloved dog, Samantha, passed away Barbra got her DNA.  She saved cells from her cheek and stomach, according to CBS News.

Her two new pups pictured above, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett, are clone direct clones of the Coton du Tulear who died last year.  The third dog in the photo is a “distant cousin.”

But before you get super excited about the possibilities, you should hear the price tag. It reportedly costs around $50,000 for each clone. Now, I love my beagle Timmy, but I think it would be hard to have a clone of him. It’s him, but, it’s not REALLY him.
