Blake Painter, one of the stars of Deadliest Catch on seasons 2 and 3, has sadly passed away.

According to TMZ, one of Captain Painter’s friends contacted police after they had not heard from in a few days. However, when police arrived at the fisherman’s Oregon house on Friday, they were too late.

Officers later determined that Painter had been dead for several days before they discovered him. Although police found prescription pills and other substances at the scene of the crime, they are not yet sure if they were a factor.

Currently, officers are not expecting foul play. However, an autopsy and toxicology report are not yet complete.
