Alyssa Nakken just made history and so did the San Francisco Giants.  The Giants hired Alyssa as an assistant coach making her the first full-time female coach in major league baseball history.  She starred at Woodland High School and then Sac State.  Alyssa was a 3 time All-Conference softball player for the Hornets graduating in 2012.  She became an intern for the Giants in 2014.  Giants manager Gabe Kapler said, “Simply, I think she’s going to be a great coach.  Merit and the ability to be a great coach trumps all.”
