Kane Brown Felt Awkward Performing With Lauren Alaina At The ACMs
Kane Brown admitted that he felt super awkward during his ‘What Ifs’ performance at the ACM Awards this year with longtime friend Lauren Alaina.

Many know by now that Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina are longtime friends. They attended school together and, as fate would have it, also came up in the same industry together.
As “What Ifs” is a love song, producers wanted to really sell the romance on stage, which was a little weird for the two friends. Kane told Taste of Country of the choreography:
“That was the first thing they told us. They were just like, ‘This is how you end.’ [claps hands] It was super awkward. Lauren was like, ‘Might as well go ahead and grab his butt too!'”

Kane talked about the performance with his fiancée, Katelyn Jae, before the big show, too. Understanding it’s part of the job, she was completely unfazed by it:
“Luckily, I had Katelyn there with me whenever we were auditioning. I told her, ‘Babe, they want us to stand pretty close.’ And she was like, ‘Okay.'”
