A 16-year-old from Placerville, Jaclyn Lovey, dazzled the judges on The Voice.
She secured a spot on Team Alicia and will advance on to the next level. Jaclyn performed Elvis Presley’s “I Can’t Help Falling in Love” for her blind audition. Alicia said:
“I think sometimes in this world, we feel like we have to over-perform everything. It’s really special that you just showed everybody that you can be simple and pure.”
All four judges on the show showered her with compliments. Blake Shelton, who also wanted Jaclyn on his team, had some high praise, saying:
“For the first time in my life, I pictured myself – while you were singing – me riding a unicorn. The kind that has wings, and I was holding a Care Bear.”
