A Rascal Flatts show last night, Aug. 9, abruptly ended due to a security concern.

The concert in Indianapolis abruptly ended towards the end due to an unspecified security risk. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

“Everyone boo’d,” concertgoer Britni Sherlock told the Indy Star. “We continued to wait in the pavilion, and that’s when security came up to everyone and told us to leave. I asked what was going on and he replied, ‘We were told to evacuate the pavilion immediately.'”

Rascal Flatts member Jay DeMarcus took to Twitter to address the issue.

“Indianapolis, Due to a security concern at the show last night, standard procedures were quickly executed and everyone was able to safely leave the building,” he wrote. “The safety of our fans, band and crew is always the top priority for us, sorry for anyone that was disappointed.”

Although fans were surely disappointed, safety does always come first. Hopefully, Rascal Flatts will be able to perform a makeup show in Indianapolis soon.
