Tower Bridge Closures Pushed Back, But Still Happening

Caltrans plans on shutting down the Tower Bridge periodically starting the middle of the summer due to inspecting and replacing various aspects of the lifting mechanisms on the 83 year old bridge. Work was initially slated to begin May 28, but has since been pushed back. This work will last around 2 months and will cause 1 lane closures, and at some points full bridge closures.
