Luke Bryan has a lot on his plate nowadays. Not only is he a judge on American Idol, but he’s also raising his two young boys at home. Add touring to the mix, and that likely packs up his entire year.

Bryan realized that signing with American Idol would likely change his touring schedule.

“We knew when I took on Idol that it was going to take up a lot of my offseason time,” the singer confessed. “Next year, I’m probably going to trim a few dates off the tour. I just kinda need to settle in that mold of not doing 100 shows a year and scale back a hair.”

He also wants to make sure to be a present figure in his sons’ ball games, reports PopCulture.

“I’ve got to start looking at like baseball schedules because my boys are getting to where, in the Spring, they are playing baseball,” Bryan added. “They are old enough to know that Dad’s halfway across the world.”

Although he may be planning to shorten his touring stint, at least he still plans on hitting the road despite his busy schedule!
