The news that a Walmart Supercenter is closing in Sacramento isn’t really too surprising. It comes on the heels of the business closing over 60 Sam’s Clubs nationwide.

Walmart on El Camino Avenue will close up shop on February 9. The Sam’s Club in that shopping center is also closing at the end of this month. So two large anchor stores in the area will be unoccupied.

According to the Sacramento Business Journal, employees might have the opportunity to transfer to another facility. Additionally, those who aren’t eligible might receive a severance.
