74 Californians Have Died From The Flu So Far This Season

This is the worst flu season in California in recent memory. At least 74 people have died from the flu this season. That’s five times the amount of deaths reported last year.

Sutter Rehabilitation Institute Medical Director Adora Matthews told KCRA:

“This year has been very, very unusual. We have a flu patient maybe once every three or four years, normally. But this year, we’ve had several.”

Apparently severe cases lost their ability to walk, write, get out of bed and go to the bathroom while sick.

Even if you’ve had the vaccine,  you can still get sick. If you are feeling under the weather, it is best to get medical help as soon as possible.
