Former MLB All-Star Roy Halladay has sadly passed away.

According to TMZ, the retired pitcher was in a fatal plane crash off the coast of Mexico.

He was the only person found aboard the downed ICON A5 sport aircraft, and he’d had just purchased the plane last month.

Halladay was an 8-time All-Star pitcher that played for the Blue Jays and the Phillies, and he was one of only two people to ever throw a no-hitter in a playoff game.

We wish his family and friends the best during this difficult time.
