Apartment Complex Evicts Vietnam Veteran As He’s In The Hospital

Probably one of the saddest stories I’ve read all year. We don’t know his exact name, but we do know the victim is a 75 year old Vietnam War Veteran.

The Canterbury Apartments in South Carolina apparently evicted him around the same time he suffered from a heart attack.

Following the eviction notice they threw all his stuff out in the rain, where his stuff was ransacked.

The War Veterans of America Motorcycle Club heard about what happened and managed to recover some of Tom’s personal documents before they were stolen or damaged. They did not find his Purple Heart and hope that whoever took it will do the right thing and return it.

The apartment complex was requested for comment, but so far no word from them.
