Blake Shelton will direct a new Hallmark Channel Christmas movie called, “Time For You To Come Home For Christmas.”

It’s about a widow and her son going back to her hometown for Christmas.  She meets a handsome stranger who, yep, is headed to the same town.  That’s about all we know so far about the movie although we’re guessing that they get along at first, then some “misunderstanding” separates them and ultimately they get together and kiss outdoors while snow starts to fall.  Doesn’t this happen in every Hallmark Christmas movie?  While the plots are almost always they same and every other one stars Candace Cameron Bure, I watch them all.  Seriously, Blake’s movie will star reality show host Alison Sweeney and Lucas Bryant who’s already been in a couple of Hallmark movies.

This movie is a sequel to the 2018 Hallmark Christmas movie, “Time For Me To Come Home For Christmas.”

Both  movies are based on Blake’s song, “Time For Me To Come Home.”  Blake wrote that song with his mom, Dorothy Shakelford (and she sings on it).  It was on his 2012 holiday album, “Cheers, It’s Christmas.”

No word on whether or not Blake will find a spot for his mom in his movie.  Also the Hallmark Channel isn’t saying exactly when it will air except that it will be included in their December Christmas lineup.
