Brad Paisley Slams CMA Awards Over Not Allowing Questions On Las Vegas
Maren Morris also shared her opinion on the new media guidelines for next week’s show.

The CMA awards announced yesterday that press at the event will not be allowed to ask questions about the Las Vegas shooting, and co-host Brad Paisley is not having it.
I'm sure the CMA will do the right thing and rescind these ridiculous and unfair press guidelines. In 3…2….1…..

Guidelines were given to media on Nov 2 who will be covering the event on Nov 8. According to Rare Country, the guidelines state that anyone who asks about the mass shooting or “gun rights, political affiliations, or topics of the like” on the red carpet or backstage could have their credentials revoked and be removed from the venue.
Maren Morris and Cam chimed in with her opinion on the guidelines this morning as well:
Country music has always been about the truth. Out of respect for the Las Vegas victims, let’s keep it that way.

THANK YOU, @BradPaisley – this is embarrassing and has been taken way too far. You can encourage respect without silencing people, #CMA https://t.co/58pBDV6LLm

A couple of hours after Brad Paisley’s initial tweet, the CMA announced that they were revising the guidelines and apologized.
Bravo CMA awards for doing the right thing & apologizing for this mistake. All are welcome, let's have a great show.
