A man by the name of Brian McCarthy shared a photo via Twitter about a waffle maker that arrived into his house with food already in it. He said his mother had purchased the waffle maker for his daughter.
Brian says that the only thing that Amazon had offered was a return on the product, which he says he was going to do anyway.
Brian says this has upset him greatly, and now looks at Amazon in a much different light. He says he will lower his purchases on Amazon, and will try to shop more locally, and directly with retailers instead of through Amazon.
Wow, my mom sent my daughter a new wafflemaker from @amazon and they sent us a used one with the FOOD STILL IN IT. Disgusting! I guess @khadeeja_safdar, @deniseduana & @shaneshifflett of @WSJ are right. @amazon has no quality control. https://t.co/AuYpz0XP0u pic.twitter.com/FYckJQDA08
