California Comes In Dead Last For Quality Of Life

U.S. News and World Report has ranked each state’s quality of life. And surprisingly, California is at the bottom of the list.
We’re even behind New Jersey and Indiana, which are apparently the benchmark states. I’m originally from Indiana. It’s not THAT bad.
So what makes California such a terrible place to be? According to the Sacramento Business Journal, cost of living. Also, quality of drinking water, pollution, community engagement and connectedness.
On the flip side, Mississippi, Wisconsin and Minnesota scored high on the list. But the top honor goes to North Dakota. They earned high marks for both natural and social environments.
Check out the whole list here. If you could live outside of California, where would it be? Personally, I loved Oregon. But, I guess North Dakota is the place to be for a good quality of life. What do people even do for fun there?
