Carly Pearce and young fan JJ wow the crowd at our Camp Fire benefit concert

God bless you Carly Pearce!

On Monday, December 3rd, the up-and-coming country star donated her time and talents to our KNCI Camp Fire Benefit Concert to help the thousands affected recently by the wildfires in Butte County. The sold out show, put together over just the past few weeks and held at The Grounds in Roseville, drew over 1200 people and, when it was all said and done, $63,500 was raised and handed over to the Salvation Army. Before the show, Pearce told us said she appreciated the chance to help, and could relate to those who lost everything because she was adversely affected by the flooding in Nashville in 2010, and had friends who also lost everything.

Pearce was the first of two acts of the evening, along with Matthew Nathanson, an adult contemporary artist brought in by KNCI’s sister station Now 100.5

If you’d like to see video of the show, just click below. It’s pretty great –especially when she brings a young fan named JJ onstage with her to help with a song that isn’t exactly, um, age appropriate. Forward to about 8:40…
