Carly Pearce Dishes On How She Knew Michael Ray Was ‘The One’
Carly Pearce recently shared about her relationship and engagement with Michael Ray, and how she came to realize he was ‘The One’.

After declaring the exciting news of her engagement over the holidays, Carly Pearce shared how she new Michael Ray was the right one for her.
According to Taste of Country, the country singer explained that she discovered how her and Ray’s similarities made them a perfect match. In an interview with her record label, Big Machine Label Group, Pearce shared one of their similarities.
“Our grandfathers both played such key roles into our lives,” Pearce said. “The Pearce name is my grandfather — the red feather on my arm and my logo, all of that. Amos is his grandfather’s name that he named his record after.”
Pearce went on to say how Ray and herself shared a similar upbringing, and how their personalities compliment each other. “I think what’s important to us really lined up and what we prioritize and the kind of passions that we have. We both are very driven people and our hearts are the same. I don’t know how I explain that.”
Pearce’s final thoughts in the interview described how she learned what it meant to find someone who helped make her a better person. Until she met Ray, Pearce shared how she had never personally understood that feeling.
“That sentence of ‘find the person that makes you better,’ I was always like, ‘Well what does that even mean?’ Because nobody I’m with, really, makes me better. I’m very independent. So, I was always very against that statement ’cause I never understood what that meant. I get it now.”
After Ray proposed to Pearce, on their December 19 vacation to Mexixo, Pearce made the official announcement December 22 on social media.
