Customers Are Starting To Feel Effects Of Google & Amazon Feud

In the latest developments of this tech feud, Amazon is refusing to sell certain Google products, and YouTube is being pulled from some Amazon devices

An escalating feud between tech giants Amazon and Google is beginning to have an effect on consumers…

According to Billboard, Google has announced that it’s pulling YouTube from Amazon’s Fire TV and Echo Show devices.


They’re retaliating against Amazon’s refusal to sell certain Google products on their website. This begs the question, why won’t they sell these Google products on their site?

It’s because the devices, like Chromecast and the smart speaker Home, compete with the Fire TV and Echo speaker.

Each companies efforts to lead the tech field reflects their shared goal of embedding their products in consumers lives.

While these recent attacks between the companies may seem mild, they’re just the latest in series of back-and-forth squabbles that started years ago.

As their competition grows, the impact on customers will likely start becoming increasingly more significant and annoying.

As of now, YouTube will stop working on Fire TV beginning January 1st. Although it was already supposed to leave the Echo Show already, Amazon is making unauthorized versions of YouTube still available.
