Disney Has Cast The Actress To Play Mulan In New Live-Action Film
Casting directors for the film visited five continents and saw auditions with almost 1,000 actresses before choosing Liu Yifei for the film.

Disney has found the star of it’s upcoming live-action adaption of Mulan!
According to Billboard, the title character will be played by Chinese actress Liu Yifei, also known by the name of Crystal Liu.
Disney was focused on hiring an ethnically Chinese woman to play the role, which requires martial arts skills, the ability to speak English, and star quality. Casting directors for the film visited five continents and saw auditions with almost 1,000 actresses before choosing Liu for the film.
Known in China as “Fairy Sister,” Liu has been one of the country’s most popular actresses in recent years. She’s fluent in English and even lived in New York during her childhood.
Outside of acting, she’s also brand ambassador Pantene, Garnier, Tissot, and Dior.
We can’t wait to see how well she does in the upcoming movie!
