Disneyland and Walt Disney World Joining The Plastic Straw Ban
By Admin on July 27, 2018
Disneyland and Walt Disney World are joining the likes of Seattle and Starbucks by implementing a plastic straw ban.
The goal for the parks is to be plastic straw free by mid-2019. That’s about a year away from now. And listen to how much impact this will have—more than 175 million straws and 13 million stirrers will be eliminated according to The Tribune.
We’re making a global commitment to minimize single-use plastic waste by eliminating plastic straws, stirrers and polystyrene cups, reducing plastic shopping bags, and cutting in-room plastics by 80%: https://t.co/pd0AGZeCUs pic.twitter.com/X2DP40spRe

I didn’t see anything about paper straws or cardboard stirrers being implemented at Disneyland or Walt Disney World as an alternative. But, one user posted a photo of a Starbucks at Disney World. That might just be a Starbucks thing, though.
The plastic straw ban was met with mixed reviews. But, what do YOU think about it?
