My heart absolutely melted when I heard this story about Troop 6000. I already purchased Girl Scout cookies from the local troops I support here in Sacramento, but I have NO problem getting MORE cookies just to support this troop!

Troop 6000 is a Girl Scout program specially designed to serve girls in the New York City Shelter System.

Their long-term goal is to expand this program across New York City so that each week, Girl Scouts will meet in shelters across the city. Meetings will be led by trained troop leaders.

More details and to help support them can be found here.
