Downtown Sacramento Restaurant Shut Down By Health Inspectors

By Admin on January 17, 2018

Well, this news is definitely not very appetizing. Simon’s Bar & Cafe on 16th street is now closed to due health code violations. The downtown Sacramento restaurant has been a staple in the city since 1984.

In fact, when it was slated to be torn down in 2015, the community rallied together to save it. According to the Sacramento Bee, the place is popular with local politicians and brokers.

Simon’s Bar & Cafe has been closed since Friday. Additionally, the Bee has not been able to get a comment from the owner since then.

The sign on the door states that the restaurant was closed because of an “insect/rodent infestation.”
