Free Parking Is Coming To Sacramento For The Holidays

Parking is one less thing to stress about in Sacramento this holiday season.

The holiday season is here so that means that free parking is coming to many areas of Sacramento!

Times

Beginning on Thanksgiving, metered parking will be free after 4:30 on weekdays and all day during the weekend. These times are valid through December 25.

Locations

Midtown, downtown and Old Sacramento will all feature free metered parking during the specified times. The goal of the free parking is to encourage people to shop at and visit local retailers and businesses.

It’s important to note that the free meter parking zones are from I to L and from Front to 29th streets and only apply to metered, street parking.

All other parking violations are still enforceable according to the Sacramento Bee.
