Gina Miles From Sacramento Wins The Voice!

Things sure have changed for Gina Miles this past year. She moved from the only town she knew, Paxton, Illinois (population 4,473), to Sacramento. Gina had just finished her junior year of high school and realized she wanted a career in music. So she came to our town to live with her aunt. Sacramento isn’t exactly the music capitol of the world but apparently we’re close enough. After trying out for “The Voice,” this past March and not knowing if she’d make the first cut or not, Gina stood alongside one other last night hoping to hear her name called as the season’s champion. When it was, Gina looked like she was the most surprised person in the room. She won $100,000 and more importantly a record deal with the Universal Music Group. Guess that move to Sacramento paid off. Congratulations Gina. Sacramento couldn’t be prouder!
