‘Gomer Pyle’ Star Jim Nabors Has Passed Away At The Age Of 87

Jim Nabors, star of the popular 1960s show Gomer Pyle, has sadly passed away.

Jim Nabors, star of the popular 1960s show Gomer Pyle, has sadly passed away.

TMZ has revealed that the actor passed away on Thursday, November 30th, at the age of 87.

Despite appearing in several movies and TV shows, his most famous character was Gomer Pyle. He originally played the character in The Andy Griffith Show before getting his own equally popular spin-off.

He was also a successful singer, releasing 5 gold records and 1 platinum. You can still find his most famous song, “Back Home Again in Indiana,” playing at the Indy 500.

He leaves behind his husband and partner of 40 years, Stan Cadwallader.
