Keith Urban debuted “Female” in November, providing a preview of his as-of-yet unannounced 10th album.
In the midst of the Harvey Weinstein scandal and sexual harassment and assault allegations that have come out in the past months, this song especially struck a chord with audiences.
Urban told Nash Country Daily:
“I had an immediate reaction to ‘Female’—as a father of two daughters, as a husband, as a son, it just resonated with me. I went and grabbed my acoustic guitar and started playing it right away.”
