Kid Rock is being sued by the Feld Entertainment, which owns Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, for using the phrase “the Greatest Show on Earth” for his upcoming tour.
Although Feld Entertainment brought an end to the 150 year long run of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the company still makes money off the licensing and intellectual property, which includes the famous slogan “the Greatest Show on Earth.”
When Kid Rock named his Greatest Show on Earth Tour, he apparently did so without permission. He’s being sued by the company for “trademark dilution and infringement, unfair competition, injury to business reputation and unjust enrichment,” according to Reuters.
