Lady A Files Lawsuit Against Singer Anita ‘Lady A’ White

The tables have turned. Attorneys for Lady A, formerly known as Lady Antebellum, have filed a suit against blues singer Anita “Lady A” White after she demanded $10 million for the use of the name, Billboard reports. The country act’s lawyers stated that they “reluctantly have come to the conclusion that we need to ask a court to affirm our right to continue to use the name Lady A, a trademark we have held for many years.” The band is not trying to stop White from using the name, instead suggesting they share it. White’s attorney did not immediately respond for comment. We’ll see what comes of this.
