Local Pub Named One Of The World’s Greatest, Most Distinctive Bars

Well shoot! Liquor.com just released a list of 228 bars “that matter most.” One of the featured places is right here in Sacramento…and Davis! De Vere’s Irish Pub made the list, which doesn’t appear to be ranked.
So, what were the qualifications for being one of the greatest bars in the world? There actually weren’t a lot of specific reasons given. Liquor.com says it’s “as much a city icon as it is a reliable family-owned watering hole. Stop by for a pint and a slice of the city’s history.”
Additionally, the website goes on to appreciate the authentic nature of De Vere’s Irish Pub. They mentioned the fixtures, furniture and heritage of the owners.
The list considers bars all over the world. So, it’s kind of cool that Sacramento got a shout out. But, do you agree with the bar they chose?
