63-year-old Jiyoun Park was recently taking photos in downtown Lodi when he fell to his death. According to CBS 13, the Lodi photographer was on the roof of a parking garage trying to get photos of an approaching train. He was on the ledge of the building, and eventually fell 40 feet to the ground. Both Park’s camera and phone were found near him and he was rushed to the hospital where he died.
This is an unfortunate story, but let it be a reminder to be more careful. Many of us are always trying to capture the perfect moment instead of living in it, myself included. And we wander into the street, climb on stuff we shouldn’t and more. We aren’t invincible.
“I sometimes walk in the street,” a Lodi artist told CBS 13. “The other day, I was taking pictures of an accident down there and I was in the middle of the street and there was a car coming.”
