Mary Chapin Carpenter was one of the biggest country stars of the 1990s. She won Grammy’s, ACMs, CMAs and she was a great live performer-funny, engaging, compelling. She’s still making music, and she’s still fun live, but for the past 2 decades or so, she’s drifted away from mainstream country and has been focused more on folk and Americana music. In fact, she has been working on new music, including a beautiful song called “Edinburgh”, which she performed (from her kitchen!) on social media this week. And while her understated performance is terrific, it’s her gregarious golden retriever Angus who almost steals the whole show. Check it out 🙂
Joining the ranks of artists around the world trying to bring a little music and light into these uncertain days, I made a song video today with Angus’ help…we are calling this #songsfromhome and this is the first episode “Live From My Kitchen” https://t.co/SFmEaM0fc4
