Country legend Mickey Gilley recently went through a scary car accident in Texas…
While travelling to a theater with his son, Michael, the pair got in an accident at an intersection, according to Taste of Country.
When a car in front of their own blew a stop sign, Michael had to swerve to avoid it. However, his sharp turn accidentally lead him to hit the other car, and this unfortunately made the car the Gilleys were driving in flip and land upside down road.
Although Michael didn’t suffer any injuries, Mickey now has a broken ankle and shoulder. He underwent medical treatment in the town of Lufkin, Texas, before returning to Pasadena to be with his wife.
Scarily enough, this is the second major car accident that Gilley has gone through in the last decade. Back in 2009, another car crash left him paralyzed and unable to work. Years of physical therapy helped him return to the stage in more recent years.
