NBC Fires Matt Lauer Over Sexual Misconduct Review

Matt Lauer is one of the last guys I expected to be caught up in a sexual misconduct scandal! Honestly, I’m shocked. But apparently, I shouldn’t be…at all. NBC News announced this morning he’s been fired after a claim made by a fellow employee was reviewed.
“On Monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer,” NBC News president Andrew Lack said in a memo to the staff, adding, the allegation “represented, after serious review, a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment.”
Word is a few news outlets knew of his sexual discretions and were working to uncover them. Meaning, there isn’t just one. He was reportedly a manipulator and kept his victims quiet. If the rumors are true, I’m sure the details will come out in the next few days.
