New App Lets You Know When McDonald’s Ice Cream Machines Are Down

This app makes future, ice cream needing Jenna very happy.

I don’t know about you, but there have been MANY times when I have been left high and dry by McDonald’s. Sometimes a girl needs a McFlurry or a simple soft serve cone and it seems like that’s ALWAYS when the machine is down.

Apparently I am not the only person to have this experience, because some genius created an app that lets people know when and where McDonald’s ice cream machines are down.

The app is called Ice Check, and its creator, Raina McLeod, told Buzzfeed she came up with the idea around a year ago when she was craving an Oreo McFlurry. Guess what happened when she got to McDonald’s…

When you stop by the fast-food chain and hear those dreadful words, that the ice cream machine is down, you can pull out the app and mark that location.

It’s sad that you didn’t get ice cream, but you then become a hero to everyone else looking for a sweet treat.

Of course, before you head out to get your McFlurry from McDonald’s, you should peep Ice Check to make sure your closest location’s machine is up and running.
