They’ve taken another step up the ladder to country music fame

A couple more milestones for Auburn Road, the all-female trio from Placer County. After playing together for several years locally and regionally (opening for acts like Toby Keith and Rascal Flatts), and making occasional trips to Nashville to record song demos and EPs (with Jason Aldean’s band, no less), their dedication and hard work is beginning to pay off. Two months ago, they released their first national single to country radio, a seamlessly produced, harmony-packed song called “Warning” that is getting airplay.

Kristen Brown, Alicia Paulson and Paxton Martin were even embarking on a national radio tour (which would’ve included a stop at KNCI in mid-March) but then, the pandemic hit, and everything- for everyone- ground to a halt.

Still, there are other ways to market yourself these days and that includes music videos. So while the young ladies continue to shelter-in-place (which has got to be killing them), their label did manage to release the official video for the song, and it’s every bit as professional and well done as the single (as Cody says, it “slaps”). Here’s hoping the pandemic is only a small stumbling block towards their climb to country music success. We’d love nothing more than to see them join the ranks of fellow NorCal rising stars as Jon Pardi, Tyler Rich and Devin Dawson. Keep going, girls!
