Get ready to visit Robin Williams Meadow in San Francisco!

According to ABC 7 News, the city just approved a decision to rename a meadow in Golden Gate Park after the late actor.  Although Mayor Ed Lee announced the name change in September, the Parks and Rec commission only gave approval this morning.

The meadow is next to the Sharon Building, the location of San Francisco Comedy Day. As it turns out, Williams frequently headlined the show before his untimely passing.

While Williams isn’t here to see it himself, we’re sure he’d be proud of this honor.
