It’s never too late to start doing what you love, and at 50 years old, Alex Wer did just that. The Elk Grove resident has been carving pumpkins since 2009, but he has been doing it full-time for four months now.

Wer’s journey began in 2009, according to KCRA, when he carved a pumpkin for his wife’s work. Since then, he has had a steady influx of requests.
