Teachers in the Sacramento City Unified School District are threatening to strike if they are unable to reach a contract agreement with the district regarding raise in salary.
CBS reports Sacramento City Teachers expect to announce this coming Thursday on whether or not teachers and substitutes will be going on strike. The district is preparing for the potential strike by putting an emergency replacement teacher application online, offering $500 a day.
The worst-case scenario from a strike is schools closing.
