A new study says YES! Your dog does understand what you’re saying to them!

A new study confirms that your dog does understand you! When say words, your dog can indeed hear them, and knows what they mean!

MSN.com says that according to a new study, your dog knows what you’re talking about when you talk to them! read how the whole study worked HERE, but it basically found out that “regions of the dogs’ brains responsible for auditory processing showed different brain patterns when they heard words they were familiar with, compared with the ones they had never encountered before.”

What does that mean?

It means when you say words that your dog knows, you dog understands them! The study also found that your dog is curious to learn new words. Ultimately, they want to know what you’re talking about because they want to please you. Oh, it also says that dogs may easier learn behaviors from visual cues faster than verbal commands. 

How cool of study was this?! It’s news that all of us pet parents wanted to know!
