The club house at Tapatio Springs Resort in Boerne, Texas, co-owned by George Strait, burned down this past Saturday on Nov. 4.

The resort is on 220 acres in Hill Country and recently had a $2 million golf course renovation.

According to My San Antonio, at least five fire departments were on the scene stabilizing the situation. Thankfully, everyone was evacuated in time and no one was injured.

Boerne Fire Chief Doug Meckel said:

“It’s early too say what happened. The attic was fully involved when the first crew arrived (just before 7 p.m.) They were evacuating the people who were inside. Right now we’re in a defensive mode, that is, we’re keeping it from spreading, keeping it confined to the one structure.”

Strait bought the property with entrepreneur Tom P. Cusick Jr. and developed the resort in 2011.
