Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, helped raise over $600,000 for Danita’s Children by hosting a benefit for the organization.

Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, helped raise over $600,000 for Danita’s Children.
The two hosted a benefit on Oct. 4 for the organization, which, according to PopCulture, works on “educating, empowering and equipping residents of Haiti” to become leaders in their communities. Underwood also performed that night with Brad Paisley.

“I am so humbled and grateful that Mike and Carrie would use their platforms to bring awareness to the great need and suffering of the children of Haiti,” Danita’s Children’s founder, Danita Estrella Watts, said. “The funds raised this night will be used to transform the lives of, literally, thousands of children as we provide them with quality education, medical care, and loving homes.”
